7 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. You are Loved
God created you with a purpose, and He loves you more than you can imagine. No matter what you’ve done or how far you’ve strayed, God’s love for you is unwavering. In fact, He loved you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for your sins (John 3:16).
2. You are a Sinner
We all fall short of God’s perfect standards, and we’ve all sinned (Romans 3:23) . Our sin separates us from God, and we can’t save ourselves through our own efforts. We need a Savior.
3. Jesus is the Savior
Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. He conquered sin and death, and through faith in Him, we can have eternal life.
Jesus is unique because he lived a sinless life and offered the perfect sacrifice for our sins through his death on the cross. As a divine being who also lived on earth as a man, he rose from the dead after three days and ascended into heaven - the only person to do so on his own. In contrast, the founders of other religions have died and been buried.
4. Salvation is a Free Gift
We can’t earn our way to heaven through good works or religious rituals. Salvation is a free gift that we receive through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). We simply need to acknowledge our need for a Savior, confess our sins, and trust in Jesus alone for our salvation.
5. You Have a Purpose
God has a unique plan and purpose for your life (Jeremiah 1:5) . As you seek Him, He will reveal His plan for you and guide you every step of the way. Your life has meaning and significance, and you can make a difference in the world.
6. The Holy Spirit Empowers
When we trust in Jesus, we receive the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live a life that honors God (Acts 2:38). The Holy Spirit guides us, teaches us, and enables us to grow in our faith.
7. You can Have a Peace and Joy
As we follow Jesus and trust in Him, we can experience peace and joy that transcends our circumstances (Philippians 4:6-7). No matter what trials we face in this life, we can have confidence in God’s love and provision for us
Here is how you can accept Christ into your life:
✓ Admit your need. (I am a sinner)
✓ Be willing to turn from your sins. (Repent)
✓ Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave. (Be saved by faith)
✓ Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive him as Lord and Savior)
If you’re ready to begin a relationship with Jesus, we invite you to pray this prayer:
“Dear God, I know that I’m a sinner and I need a Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask for your forgiveness. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
Congratulations! If you prayed that prayer with sincerity, you are now a child of God and have eternal life. We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church and connect with other believers as you grow in your faith.
